Course & Scope of Employment and Injuries While Traveling Between Worksites Or To And From Work
A significant decision was just issued by the Supreme Court of Texas affecting workers who are injured while traveling between worksites and between home and work.

The case of Liana Leordeanu v. American Protection Insurance Company resolved a long-standing conflict in the law.  It is now easier for workers who have been injured while traveling between worksites to get workers' compensation benefits.  This also affects travel between home and the workplace.

Traditionally, travel between home and workplace has been excluded from the course and scope of employment.  With this decision, it is now possible for injuries that occur between work and home to be covered more often.  Every case will be different and will have its own nuances, so it will be necessary to review your specific case with an attorney.  The sooner the better as deadlines might come before you know it.

Call Matt Lewis now at (972) 644-1111 to discuss your claim.
